Redirect map builder

Old rule: A redirect map takes a week of spreadsheets.Paste two lists. Get the CSV.

Paste your old URLs and your new ones. Get each old page matched to its new home, the problems flagged, and a CSV ready for Shopify.

Paste both lists and press "Build the map".

How it works

For each old URL, the tool looks in the new list for a page with the same handle (the last part of the URL). If there isn't one, it picks the page that shares the most words and flags it for checking. If that fails too, it suggests the parent page (a collection or the blog) when one exists.

It also flags duplicates, URLs that already exist unchanged on the new site (no redirect needed) and fixed Shopify paths that can't be redirected. You can change any target in the table before downloading. The CSV uses the columns Shopify expects, Redirect from and Redirect to; import it in Content › Menus › URL redirects › Import.

Nothing leaves your browser: the lists are not sent to any server.
